Bezoek aan het International Criminal Court (alleen voor Master studenten)

Lieve Master studenten,

Misschien heb je tijdens je hoorcolleges al wel eens gehoord over het International Criminal Court, ook wel ICC genoemd, in Den Haag. Dit gerechtshof behandelt zaken tegen personen die verdacht worden van onder andere oorlogsmisdaden en misdaden tegen de menselijkheid. Onze Master Commissie heeft iets fantastisch geregeld, namelijk dat we daar op bezoek mogen!

Op dinsdag 14 juni is het zover. We zullen om 10 uur ‘s morgens verzamelen voor het ICC. We moeten dan eerst door een security check. Hiervoor is het heel belangrijk dat je een geldig paspoort of ID-kaart bij je hebt. Een rijbewijs is dus niet voldoende. Vervolgens krijgen we meer te weten over wat het ICC precies inhoudt en is er de mogelijkheid om een zitting bij te wonen.

Visit to the International Criminal Court (Master students only)

Dear Master students,

Perhaps you’ve heard about the International Criminal Court at the Hague, also called ICC, during your studies. This court works cases against people suspected of for example war crimes and crimes against humanity. Our Master Committee has done some wonderful work and has been able to organise a visit!

On Tuesday the 14th at 10:00 we will meet at the gates of the ICC. We’ll have to go through a security check first. It’s really important that you bring with you a valid Passport or ID-card. A drivers licence will not suffice. Afterwards we’ll learn more about what the ICC does precisely and you can even attend a hearing if you’d like.
